Do Positive Affirmations Work?
Some people are skeptical about the process of implementing positive affirmations into their lives, how can simple statements make a difference? Simply stated, the more you focus on something– either a thought, and experiences or an object, the more likely it is to happen in your life. By choosing to say positive affirmations regularly your subconscious mind will either acknowledge the positive statement or try to deny it. If your subconscious mind is trying to deny the statement, it is because the subconscious finds it easier to avoid any challenges or facing the truth of the situation– it is much easier to stay in the negative comfort zone that you have been in for so long. On the other hand, if you feel a sense of peace and balance when you repeat the affirmation, your subconscious is responding to the affirmation well because it believes it is true. Continue to repeat your positive affirmations until you are comfortable with the statements, and you will find that those experiences will come into your life and you will feel more joy.
Even if you have a big block that is strongly resisting the affirmations, continue to practice saying the statements and repeat the positive affirmations with firm conviction. As you continue this process you will gradually wear down the negative beliefs that you have been living in for so long, and the positive affirmations will become a reality.
