Daily Affirmation Exercises
There are some techniques that can be used while you are practicing your daily affirmations. If you really want to see a change in your life, it is important to keep these techniques in mind:
Write down your affirmations so that you can always remember them. You may choose to keep a small notebook of affirmations, write them in your day planner, or write them on notes and post them around your house. Surprisingly enough, one of the most effective places to leave affirmation notes is in the bathroom– tape it to your mirror and read it every time you wash your hands, blow dry your hair, brush your teeth, etc. The positive affirmation will become part of your daily routine and you will remember it throughout your day.
Keep your affirmations short and to the point. Repeat them often– whenever you think about that topic during the day, repeat your daily affirmations to yourself.
Say each affirmation with a firmness a surety that it can be your truth. Even if you have doubts that the statement is true, say it with as much feeling as possible and you will stimulate your inner feelings which in turn opens the door for change. Put as much passion and emotion behind the statement as you can. As you continue to repeat the daily affirmations you will find that it becomes easier and easier to put passion and feeling behind the statements.
Visualize yourself as if the affirmation were true. If you are repeating affirmations to attract wealth and prosperity into your life, close your eyes and imagine what it feels like to be wealth. Think about the ways you would spend your money. Think about the way money feels, how it smells, and how it looks. Imagine money coming to you everywhere you go. Visualizing your daily affirmations will help your body to feel what it is like for that affirmation to become truth, which will in turn allow those things to manifest in your life.
Always use “I Am” statements instead of “I Will” statements. “I Am” statements increase the realization for the affirmation because it is in present tense.
Be aware of your thoughts in your daily activities. If you being to think something negative, stop it and image the phrase fleeing out into the distance or getting softer and softer until you can’t hear it any longer. Then immediately replace it with one of your daily affirmations.
Repeat your daily affirmations while exercising. Also, implement some type of visualization with it. For example, if you are working on wealth affirmations imagine yourself running through money as you run on the treadmill. See the hundred dollar bills flying around you as you go, and imaging yourself kicking them up behind you as you run.
